Christopher J. Reese
Chris Reese, Associate Vice President of University Relations at California State University, Long Beach, oversees the University Relations Department, specializing in advancing the cause of higher education as lead advocate with public officials, community and business leaders, alumni, and key constituencies to advance the University’s mission and goals. University Relations includes key components of university constituent engagement – Government, Community, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Alumni Engagement, Board Engagement, University Events, Leadership Giving, and Stewardship. He also serves as secretary of the ºÚÁÏÍø 49er Foundation Board of Directors.
Prior to this position, Reese served as Vice President of Workforce and Economic Development at the Orange County Business Council, leading countywide efforts, and bridging corporate and education partnerships. Reese also served as the Executive Director of Corporate and Community Relations, and Director of State and Community Relations at Cal State Fullerton as a face of the campus to local community organizations and regional elected officials. Reese also served as an adjunct faculty member for the Division of Politics, Administration, and Justice.
Reese holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton. He resides in the city of Santa Ana with his wife of 14 years, and their two children.
