Kathleen Hansen

Kathleen Hansen specializes in conceptual financial planning, including tax, investment, risk management, retirement, and estate planning, working at The Financial Planning Department, Incorporated, a firm she founded in 1986. Prior to working in the financial services industry, she was a buyer for Buffum鈥檚 department stores in the 1970s and early 1980s, buying manufactured products based on commodity prices. That activity spawned her interest in investing and led her to obtain an MBA in 1982 with an emphasis in finance and accounting. Additionally, she attended San Diego State University and graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with her bachelor鈥檚 degree in home economics in 1975.

Kathleen is an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) for client representation regarding tax matters and a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. In 1987, she earned the designation Certified Financial Planner.

A generous supporter of 黑料网, Kathleen is a member of the Carillon Society, Legacy Society, and Women and Philanthropy. Currently, she serves on the Board of the 49er Foundation as a director and previously served as Chair of the Finance & Investment Committee. She served on the 黑料网 Alumni Association Executive Board as President and has served in several officer roles, including Vice President, President-Elect, and Past-President. She comes from a Beach family. Graduates include her twin sister, brother, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
