Child Development Permit

Child Development Permit

The Child Development Permit is issued by the State of California, Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).  The permit is not required by Title 22 licensed schools, but government funded schools do require it (Head Start, LAUP, college campus programs, state funded preschools). The permit is valuable and the positions that require the permit, tend to have a higher pay rate.

More information on the Child Development Permit can be found from the CTC. Please click to learn about the requirements for the Child Development Permit.

The Child Development Training Consortium often has funding to assist with the application fee for to the permit. Funding is first come, first served. Apply for a Child Development Permit stipend
