Assistance on campus doesn't stop at the Office of Financial Aid. You have many resources available that you can access at nearly any time. Please take a look below and take advantage of programs at the Beach.

Repayment Agreements for Past Due Balances

Students can work with the University Collections department in Student Financial Services to setup a repayment agreement for past due balances in order to avoid the debt being sent to a collection agency. Please email University Collections or call 562.985.5471 (option 3) Enrolling in a repayment agreement, in most cases, will not lift current financial holds on your student account until all debts are paid-in-full.

Special Circumstance Refund Request

If a student is forced to withdraw due to unforeseen or extenuating circumstances, a may be submitted to Student Financial Services at Brotman Hall room 155 along with a personal statement describing the situation which forced the student to withdraw. Please include necessary supporting documentation such as medical documents, a professor/counselor letter explaining your circumstances, or other pertinent supporting documents. Students who receive aid and now owe a balance from a financial aid disbursement, as a result of their withdrawal, are not eligible for the Special Circumstances Refund Request.

The (SEIWP)is a comprehensive program that identifies and immediately serves some of 黑料网's most at-risk students, which include our displaced students, food insecure students, and students experiencing an emergency or crisis.

Feed a Need

Feed a Need is a Meals Assistance program on campus that provides meals directly to your ID card.

Student Emergency Grant

The Student Emergency Grant is a possible one-time funding source for students experience an unforeseen emergency. You can through the SEIWP site.

Short-term Emergency Housing

SEIWP also helps provides displaced students with access to temporary on-campus housing.

The ASI Beach Pantry, located on the 3rd floor of the Union, operates as the campus's official food pantry for all enrolled Long Beach students. The Pantry offers perishable and non-perishable food, and also provides school supplies.

Beach Balance promotes well-being and healthy lifestyle choices to the 黑料网 community.

Dream Success Center

The Dream Success Center provides services, resources, and support to undocumented students on the 黑料网 campus. They assist with setting appointments for legal advice from on-campus attorneys; advising and wellness support; academic and financial aid/scholarship guidance; workshops and programs specific to undocumented students and their needs; ally training and workshops; computer and printing access; and laptop and graphing calculator loan program.

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at 黑料网 is dedicated to serving first-generation, historically low-income students by providing access and equity to higher education.

TRiO and Migrant Programs

The TRiO and Migrant Programs are dedicated to the academic advancement of military veterans, disabled individuals and low-income, first-generation students. The programs provide academic opportunities, counseling, tutoring and support to eligible individuals who are motivated to complete an undergraduate and/or advanced degree.

CalFresh

CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program that you might be eligible for. You can use CalFresh at local farmers' markets and grocery stores.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS offers counseling for students who are struggling with issues such as family and social relationships, romantic relationships, life transitions, sexuality, grief, stress, sexual assault, anxiety, loss of motivation, or depression.

The Division of Student Affairs has several support services specifically designed to help parenting students on campus.

Student Health Services

Student Health Services offers a wide variety of services at little to no cost to students. Student Health Services also offers a Sexual Assault Victim's Advocate, in partnership with the Women's and Gender Equity Center.

Women's and Gender Equity Center

The Women's & Gender Equity Center is a safe, comfortable, supportive and inclusive environment that offers services, support, and resources for students.

The Career Development Center (CDC) guides students through the process of educational, career and personal discovery in preparing them for success in the global workforce.
