Navigating the search for off-campus housing can be both exciting and daunting! For those looking for off-campus housing, Housing and Residential Life does not provide nor manage alternative/off-campus housing. Below you will find comprehensive resources to help you in your search for off-campus housing.

Mixers: Join us at one of our virtual or in-person mixers for the chance to connect with other students looking for roommates! 

Fairs: Check out one of our housing fairs where you can meet with local property managers, connect with other students, and learn more about various off-campus housing resources!

Virtual Roommate MixerLooking for potential roommates for off-campus housing in a fun, chill environment? Join us for our April Roommate Mixer, hosted over Zoom.

 Provides searches for listings, roommates, subleases, and other resources for off-campus housing near the University and allows you to connect with other ºÚÁÏÍø students as potential roommates.  We do not have a way to verify the properties. However, Rent College Pads requires landlords to pay a listing service and confirmed ºÚÁÏÍø students can access the Roommate Connect feature.

Facebook Groups 

Students have been successful using these Facebook pages to find roommates, sublets, and apartment leases off-campus.

10 steps on how to protect yourself from rental scams, put together by College Pads. It's important to be careful when searching for off-campus housing, as there are many scams out there. 
 The Crime Incident Mapping Application is an application that has been developed to provide recent crime activity within the City of Long Beach. It provides the Public with easy-to-use tools to search and query crimes within their communities.

Online Listing Sites These sites, such as Craigslist and Zillow, allow you to search for available rentals in your area. You can use filters to narrow down your search based on location, price, number of bedrooms, and other factors.
