CHCC is excited to share a unique leadership and professional development opportunity with CA students – the Creating a Path to Success (CAPS) Program by the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. CAPS is designed to empower and train the next generation of civic and business leaders, providing invaluable skills, networking opportunities, and access to industry professionals.

Why CAPS? Since 2004, the CAPS program has prepared over 350 dynamic young professionals for success in business, public service, and community leadership. CAPS offers you:

  • Training and development in essential soft skills
  • Networking with professionals and advisors from diverse industries
  • Opportunities for internships, mentorship, and job placements
  • In-person and virtual retreats to enhance your leadership capabilities
  • A chance to represent your university and community as a future leader

Program Highlights:

  • Virtual CAPS Orientation: February 7, 2025
  • In-person and Virtual Retreats throughout the year (All expenses for in-person events, including travel, lodging, and meals, are covered by the CHCC Foundation)
  • Annual Convention and Networking Opportunities with top business and civic leaders

Application Timeline:

  • Application Deadline: December 30, 2024
  • Interviews: January 20 – January 31, 2025
  • Final Decisions: Early February 2025

Eligibility:

  • Enrolled in a college/university in Spring 2024
  • A resident of California or enrolled in a California institution
  • Recommended GPA of 3.0 (not mandatory)
  • Applicants 21+ years of age are highly encouraged
